You have always liked the outdoors, but your job kept you in central Tokyo, in the Ichigaya neighborhood. You wanted to move to the country, but your job as the head of sales for a tequila company made you one of the few at the company who could not get out of the city for extended periods of time. Your spouse knew how much you liked the outdoors and decided to surprise you by fixing up the place while you were gone selling the latest overpriced hand-painted bottle encrusted with black diamonds.

Your spouse spent the day going to the tree nursery, the hardware store, and the neighborhood flower shop. You returned later that evening, opened the front door, put your shoes into your walk-in shoe closet, walked into the living room and saw it — the massive rooftop balcony, that you had previously complained about being too bare, was now a jungle of flowers, potted trees, a wood floor, and vines on the railing. Plus, your spouse somehow managed to lug a Webster barbecue up there too. It was going to be a good summer.
