It was the morning after the first day the city was let go from the grips of the state of emergency. The night before was pure revelry, with everyone you knew taking full advantage of their new freedom. You decided to be good and follow the rules — only ordering drinks until 7PM, but you still wanted to make the most of your night. So you started drinking with your friends at 3:30PM. After all, there wasn’t a law saying what time you could start ordering drinks.

The Amarettos went back one after another, until your breath smelled like toasted almonds. You didn’t remember much from the night before, other than that it was still light out when you stumbled into your spacious living room. You didn’t have it in you to close the blinds on the floor to ceiling windows, and you came to realize that the next morning, when the sun was shining directly on your hungover face. Your pekinese was sympathetic and didn’t wake you up for breakfast (or, more likely, she tried to but you didn’t notice), and when you came to, you realized you were fully nude, cuddling the poor pup. She didn’t seem to mind though.
