You finish up breakfast, and as you walk down the white spiral staircase, the sunlight shines on the back of your neck. The warmth from the rays pared with your cold feet hitting each stair starts to wake you up. Entering your walk-in closet you pick out five outfits and bring them to your bed. You splay them out on your comforter, take a picture, and send it to your mother. Two minutes later she responds, “the black one.” You take her advice, put on the black one, and head back up the stairs.

Every step you take up makes you sweat, not from fatigue but from nerves. As you fix your hair in front of the mirror at the entrance you notice the sweat has made it to your palms too. Today was going to be a big day — you were on your way to show your significant other the best Valentines Day of their life.
